Prices quoted are valid for Functions / venues within our normal area, see Map. For Functions outside of this area a mileage surcharge may apply.
All bookings agreed by conversation / email must be confirmed with a deposit and completed booking form within fourteen days unless otherwise arranged. All bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.
Prices listed for All Buffets, Canapés, Sit down meals and Weddings are based on the following minimum numbers

Deposits / Payments
A deposit or full payment (if less then 30 days till function) will be required to secure your chosen date, all bookings are taken on a first come, first served basis.
A Deposit of £300 is required to secure your chosen date
Marquees, an additional deposit of £300 will be required if a marquee is supplied by 1st Class Cuisine.
Venues - Deposits & payment schedules for venues will be stated in the quote.
Full payment is required one month before your function unless agreed otherwise
Preferred method of payment is by Bank transfer, Cheque or Cash. Cheques should be made payable to 1st Class Cuisine, bank details are available on request.
Credit Card payments can be made, however this is a non preferred method and we will pass on to you the additional costs involved in card transactions, normally 3.5%
Cancellations
A cancellation charge will be made if an order is cancelled at the following rates.
31 days or more before the function date 25% of the order value or loss of deposit which ever is the greater.
15 – 30 days before function 50% of the order value.
14 days or less 100% of the order value.
All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by the customer.
Meals for Suppliers
We will supply meals for our staff, there is no charge for this. If staff from other companies require a meal as part of their contract then we will be happy to provide this but at a fee of £20 per person. Please check with your suppliers, as outside caterers we can only bring food to an event that has been ordered.
Trades that you may need to allow for include Photographers, Videographers, Wedding / Event Planners, Toastmaster, Marquee Staff, Security / Grounds Staff , DJ's, Entertainers and Bands
Support Staff will only be fed after the Main Service has been served, regardless of the time they are leaving the venue, please make sure they are aware of this.
Evening Catering , please allow for the above trades when booking your evening catering.
Equipment Hire
A Deposit of £100 will be added to your final balance for all functions where equipment or linen is supplied, Any damages or loss of linen will be charged at cost and deducted from your deposit. For certain functions we may supply equipment in advance of the function date. As the hirer you are responsible for all the equipment supplied by 1st Class Cuisine or our suppliers from the time of delivery through to the collection. We strongly advise you to arrange adequate insurance to cover the cost of the equipment whilst in your care.
Breakages, damaged or lost equipment - After collection, all items will be returned either to us or our suppliers where it will be sorted and counted. You will be informed by email or post of any items that are found missing, broken or damaged (including weather damaged) before charges are applied. Be sure equipment is secured when not in use and protected from the weather. All missing and damaged items will be charged at cost.
Deliveries to third parties or unoccupied premises/marquees are made entirely at the Hirer’s risk.
Table Linen
Table linen if ordered will be supplied for the duration of your function even after we have left the venue, provided they are returned the next day to 1st Class Cuisine (unless prior arrangements have been made). Failure to return the linen the next day will incur a minimum collection charge of £40.00.
Where Table linen is included in the cost of the meal this will apply to the guest tables and top table only. Linen for Cake tables, Present tables etc will be extra.
Please be aware that candle wax, blue tack, floristry tape, saffron dye, floor marks, concrete/stone marks, crayons, ink & markers pens, heavy oil or grease from cookers, BBQs etc do not come out of table clothes and napkins and will be charged for at the cost of replacement. Please ensure that table clothes are shaken well and are dry before re packing.
Naked Flames
Tea Lights / Candles are not recommended for table decoration, if they must be used they should be housed in suitable holders which shield the flame. 1st Class Cuisine will not light tea lights / candles due to the fire risk from unattended naked flames.
No responsibility will be accepted by 1st Class Cuisine or any of its employees for any damage caused by naked flames.
Access to Marquees and Buildings
All quotes are based on easy access to Buildings and Marquees. Buildings with difficult access or Marquees sited with restricted access or difficult terrain will incur extra charges for the additional labour & equipment required. If you have any doubts please contact us for a site survey.
Mobile Bars
Mobile Bar only functions - eg no catering provided. Unless agreed otherwise a deposit of £200 will be payable for bar only functions . This will be returned provided the bar takes at least £500 and all beverages are purchased from 1st Class Cuisine’s bar. Any damages or losses will also be deducted from the deposit.
Whilst 1st Class Cuisine maintains statutory insurance cover, it accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury, damage or breakage caused by any of its staff or agents. The liability of 1st Class Cuisine for a failure to fulfil any contract shall be limited to a waiver of any charges due by the customer.
